Shared Ownership
Shared ownership is an increasingly popular government scheme that enables first-time buyers to get on the property ladder by purchasing a percentage of their home and paying rent on the remainder. It enables buyers with a lower income or a smaller deposit to access mortgage finance, whilst giving them the opportunity to purchase more of the property over time (also known as staircasing), as and when their finances allow.
Over the past decade, our Shared Ownership team has assisted hundreds of clients with shared ownership-related sales and purchases and has helped many more with the staircasing process.
