Attwaters’ staff stories – Frances Sullivan

In this blog series, we hear the stories of some of our talented staff, who share what it’s like working for a Top 10 medium-sized organisation. In this edition, we speak with Frances Sullivan, our Senior Finance Assistant.

Meet Frances Sullivan

Frances joined the firm in April 2023, but she was already very familiar with the firm. “I have known of Attwaters for years as my family and I have used their services many times”, Frances explains.

Roles and responsibilities

As Senior Finance Assistant, Frances supports her line manager and the partnership with all accounts-related tasks. She reviews existing processes and implements new procedures when required. One of her proudest achievements thus far is streamlining the firm’s receipt and reporting process.

Learning new skills

In her job, Frances has learned how to use a new software system that is specific to the legal profession and SRA rules. She reflects, “Attwaters has helped me to utilise my skills and maintain a work life at the tail end of my career.” She plans to continue working in our “friendly and inclusive environment” until she retires.

Work/life balance

Here at Attwaters, we believe in the importance of a healthy work/life balance. Frances has a long-term chronic health condition, so values the flexibility and understanding shown to her by the team. “I have a slightly shorter working day so I can avoid rush hour, plus I have the ability to work from home. My Head of Department is also very considerate when it comes to medical appointments.”
