Meet Asha Birly

Asha joined Attwaters in November 2023 because of our strong reputation in the property sector. “I was drawn to the commitment to client service, professional development opportunities, and the friendly people.”

In her role, Asha advises clients on a broad range of commercial property matters, including acquisitions, disposals, leases and property finance. One of Asha’s proudest moments thus far was successfully completing a complex refinance transaction on a tight deadline. She was pleased to receive very positive feedback from the client. 

Professional development

Since joining Attwaters, Asha believes that her understanding of property finance has broadened. Plus, she has developed her marketing and networking skills. Asha says, “Attwaters has supported my career progression by encouraging me to take on responsibility, build client relationships, and get involved with complex matters.”

Work/life balance

Asha appreciates the work/life balance that Attwaters offers. “There’s a genuine understanding that a healthy work life leads to better performance and wellbeing. We’re not expected to work ridiculous hours, and staff members genuinely care about my life outside of work.” Asha is also part of the Attwaters events committee and enjoys going to the summer and Christmas events.

Asha’s favourite part of working at Attwaters is “the supportive colleagues and good professional and personal development”. She describes the company culture as “professional and inclusive,” noting that Attwaters values expertise and high standards, but equally recognises the importance of staff wellbeing.

Looking ahead, Asha hopes to continue developing her skills in commercial property law by taking on more complex and high value transactions. “In the long run, I hope to become an associate in the department and contribute to the firm’s growth strategy.”
