The role:
We are a specialist Medical Negligence team, within a well-established friendly and supportive law firm. Our lawyers provide a high-quality service and handle complex and challenging cases.
The position is to cover maternity leave for a Junior Solicitor - 3 /4 days a week – between September 2026 and March 2027. The team is based in Hertford and hybrid working is available as is flexible working.
Experience is needed in running claimant Medical Negligence cases.
Estimated 30 cases at various stages. Cases involving misdiagnosis, psychiatric illness and fatal cases. Working independently in managing the case load, with support from the senior lawyers.
The duties include, compiling evidence, identifying the legal issues, schedules of loss, statements and particulars, instructing counsel and experts and communicating with the Defendants.
A dedication to providing an excellent client service, good organisational skills and good knowledge of It is required.
Candidates must appreciate the emotional impact of a clinical negligence claim on our clients and be able to deal with clients sensitively and empathetically.
